OHA Honours! 2017

We are pleased to inform you that this year the Association has chosen to honour Nadella Oya (Form 5 Graduating Class of 1992 and the Form 6 Graduating Class of 1994), at the Annual Luncheon.

Nadella founded the non-profit organisation, Createfuturegood, in 2011; where they use creative and innovative tools to advocate and promote awareness on children’s rights.

Over the last 6 years, Nadella and her team have worked diligently to ensure that children’s rights are promoted through various methods, such as the creation of YouTube videos, hosting workshops at schools and artistic projects, such as the Beetham Gardens Children’s Magic Wall. Focus is placed primarily on topics such as bullying and child abuse and how they should be addressed. As a result of the work being done by the organisation and their contribution to society, Createfuturegood was selected as one of the co-awardees of the Express Community Group of the Year 2016.

You can learn more about CreateFutureGood and Nadella’s work by going to their Facebook page or view some of their videos at their YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCvL9deAYEcl2CEejfOKpK5A

Nadella will be formally acknowledged at the Annual Luncheon, Lunch at St. Hilary’s, on Saturday 1st July, 2017

Well done Nadella! Non sine pulvere palmam!
